This is a great little article by Kelly Conley of Symantec that talks about a current stock tip spam email. I have always wondered who gets rich off these things? I have participated in some direct response radio and TV marketing int he past and had a Guru as a mentor. He said if you see it on TV or hear it on the radio a lot, it is making money. Sometimes there is testing and you hear or see a spot and then never again, that is because they did not make any money.

So, by that logic these spam stock tipsters must be making some money and that means that we have ourselves to blame for spam continuing to exist.

STOP SPAM

If we just stop responding to it it will go away eventually. As long as spamming is easier to make money than, say, actually working, then spam will continue.

What I am not saying

What I am not saying is to quit buying off the internet or from people that email you. Just make certain they are either someone you do business with or someone you have given permission to send you emails from people they do business with.

Heck email marketing is great and I love getting an email that is something I signed up for and a product or service I like, talk about timing! I do love to consume.
